Creating a Visual Narrative for a New Product Launch

Video | Creative Direction

My role:

Creative director

Capabilities:

  • Concepting

  • Scriptwriting

  • Storyboarding (copy)

Situation: SentinelOne was launching a new cloud security product with significant commercial investment, and a launch video was the centerpiece. A creative director had started the project but wasn't the right fit for the client, so I was brought in to take over and guide the creative through a full, high-level production.

Challenge: I inherited an incomplete brief with a set of rough concepts – and about 24 hours to refine them, build narratives, and internalize them well enough to pitch them authentically. The project to date had already burned too much budget, so the stakes were high on both ends. This video production had some weight to carry.

Action: I sharpened the narratives, and delivered a well-prepared, on-point pitch to the client. Concept selection and feedback happened in real time, and we were off. My role expanded across the full production. I wrote the script, guided selection of the director, and made decisions on wardrobe, set design, and visual language. At each stage, I kept the creative vision intact to ensure the final product told the story well.

Result: The video launched to 2M+ social views and 18K+ engagements.
